Ryan brought the first load right after our walk today. He was asked if he could spare another 24 bales and agree then promptly brought over 30 bales today in loads of 6 or 12. He was paid for everything and will bring the last load of 12 over tomorrow afternoon. We had a high of 92 degrees and it was really hot working in the skid steer unloading and stacking hay. Lighthouse Academy students and teachers were invited to Rachel's house for pictures and fishing. As soon as they were done she brought them over to our place to see the horses. I was glad to take a break from stacking hay to show them around but no pictures. The camera was left in the house while working in the barn. Right about then Anna called to see if I could pick up Kensley from school. Instead of taking her to her other grandma's house I brought her home with me. We went first to the playground to play with the students from Lighthouse but they were just finishing up and getting ready to leave.
We took a quick golf cart ride then said good by. Rachel found these things pictured below at a garage sale and bought them for us just in case we ever do another pirate show. Kensley was glad to show them off.She wanted to play on the new hay bales but it just isn't that much fun without other children to play with her.
Indy was teased and showed a bit then when Evan went to mount kicked him. That was it for him, he is not about to take that risk again right then. I'll have to try her tomorrow morning. Karin arrived after she got off work and even though it was still hot pulled Valiant out. He was so good today.
When Rebekah showed up Karin had her bring Oksana out and ride in the field next to the outdoor arena as Valiant was being worked. He called but still listened to Karin.
Valiant was put away and Tory got out. Karin decided to ride her on the trails today. She was hosed down first because of the heat today.
Rebekah brought Oksana in and gave Kensley rides on her until Karin had Tory tacked and ready to go.
Below they are stopped on the drive waiting for a car to pass. Sometimes the traffic around here gets busy. Rachel has 7 drivers in her house, Joan has 4 drivers in her house, throw those in with mom, Spark, Rhonda and all the visitors they have and all of a sudden we are waiting for cars to pass.
Tory did amazing on the trails, she lead through the second creek on. Karin had a ball with her, galloping with no hands.
Below is Rebekah and Oksana's big trot.
Karin asked Tory to stay back which she did without a fuss then let her gallop and off she went.
It was very successful and Karin kept saying over and over, "Rhoda was right, Tory is a lot of fun!" The horses were hosed off before putting back in the paddocks.

I'm really tired this evening and after supper decided to stay indoors in the air conditioning. Mark is still out working in the barn. A very nice update came in from Kathy, the lady that owns Sangria's 2017 filly. She writes: Hi Judy thought you’d like to see a couple of photos of Serenity she is a yearling on the 25th. Feel free to post these. She is a lovely filly. Very sweet and easy to handle.
Check out that mop of a mane on this yearling.
A BIG thankyou to Kathy for sending the pictures. She is really a beautiful yearling and we can't wait to see what she will look like when full grown.
