No Shoes

This morning took me back to childhood memories and not good ones at that. Getting 3 grandchildren ready for church and none of them had church shoes. Not only do none have church shoes we couldn't even find ANY shoes for Jack. No shoes AND no socks. We brought a suitcase which Rhoda was sure was the right suitcase but when we opened it up there were only Addyson's clothes inside. Anna was called to see if we could borrow a pair of Sunday shoes for Addyson so she would not have to wear her basketball shoes but for Jack we were down to putting a pair of Addyson's socks on him then carrying him through 3 inches of snow out to the car and then into church. And of course after church we had to carry him out to the car. Ben's boys are so active in church most of my family was trying to help with them. The afternoon went great. Jace fell asleep on the way home from church and woke up after Jack fell asleep. Sarah and Nolan took Addyson over to Braeyln's house to play then to volleyball so most of the afternoon and evening we only had 1 child to play with at a time. They are all in bed now and we will be soon.
Jenis was grained and checked for lameness both this morning and this afternoon and sad to say she is still favoring a back leg. This came on so sudden but she has no swelling, no hot spots, her hooves look fine. Hopefully tomorrow there will be an improvement. The only other time Jenis had a problem was years ago she had an abscess in a front foot, that was so bad we thought she had broken a shoulder. This is about that dramatic but there sure is no sign of an abscess.
