A Visit for Emily

Emily and I had to start work early this morning. We got Isabella covered by Evan  and all the feeding done before 7:00am knowing we needed to be loaded and on the road by 8:00am. Then Dr. Hoerr called to move our 8:30am appointment to 9:00am which gave us time to do the entire walk. It didn't take us long to load Mytross, her colt, Lola, her colt in the front of the trailer and Jenis in the back. Mytross was first to be sonagrammed. She is in foal to Valiant due June 22nd, 2014. We will place her for sale now as a 3 in 1 package for only $3000.00 but this is good only until we wean her 2013 colt born June 30th. Next up was Lola. The ultrasound showed she is just coming into season and should be standing in a few days. Lola was so protective of her colt we could just not catch her in season. Jenis was last on the list and we found she had just ovulated.  We bred her yesterday afternoon so our timing was good. Dr. Hoerr also infused her then gave her a shot to make her expel a bit of free fluid pooling inside her uterus. Sure hope this works and she comes up pregnant.
We had another Raven daughter come today to be bred to Evan. She is just gorgeous! Emily helped take her into the arena for a few pictures before teasing her.
She is a 3 year old by Raven out of a Saddlebred mare. Her mane is so thick and long it is down to her belly. The rest of her pictures were placed on the Horsemeister, Inc facebook page. She is showing and was bred this evening. Next out for pictures was Isabella's Song owned by the Moser's. She was brought over last night be we didn't take any pictures of her until today.
She was covered this morning by Evan. She is out of the Moser's Trakehner mare Salena. This 3 year old filly has amazing movement. We took more pictures of her that were also posted on the Horsemeister, Inc facebook page. Emily's family arrived soon after that. The first thing they needed to do was wear off some excess energy by climbing the bales.
Karin came to give them all a vaulting lesson on Ribbon.

Even her mom Marie took a turn on Ribbon. Below is her brother Timothy. He decided to try it by himself.

After the vaulting they headed over to Diane's pond to cool off.

The diving board was a hit, even Karin's dog Studly enjoys going off the dive.
From there they went to Rachel's house for swimming. Below the boys were enjoying the rope swing

Many more pictures were taken and placed on facebook.
Dinner was planned to be served at Middle Grove but they spent so long playing we served it here then off they drove to camp at Middle Grove for the night. If the weather holds they will go out on the pontoon boat and take some trail rides. We will head out early in the morning with breakfast for all the campers.
