I'm heading in to Peoria to fight the traffic and shop! I don't want to do this but have a 50% off coupon for JoAnn fabrics and want to buy the glittery material for the Friesian costumes needed for the IL Horse Fair. As long as I am in town, surely there are other stores that should be visited.
We have snow on the ground this morning. The golf cart has smooth tires and is not very good on snow and ice so Mark spent some time on-line looking for chains for golf cart tires. Guess what? They don't MAKE tire chains for those. Perhaps people don't golf in the winter. The all important walk must be attended each morning so something must be done. Maybe a bunch of the shoe skids we like so well should be purchased, strung together and attached. hmmm, any ideas out there for this problem? Nothing like waiting until the last minute.
Tonight is the Skyline AC Home appreciate dinner at Weaver Ridge country club. No cooking tonight, that is always a nice dinner and great company.
Winter is always a quiet time here at the farm. There are no outside mares in for breeding, no cookouts, no campfires, and very little company. What a HUGE change from this summer. All the books Glady's Haefli sent are now read and will be given to Rhonda to return. Maybe while in Peoria, the library should be visited.
