We left the farm a few minutes before 5:00pm and reached Weaver Ridge Country Club right at 5:30pm. The whole time Mark's driving I'm worried about being late. He told me it starts at 5:30pm. Well it didn't start at 5:30pm, people were there and starting to find seats but the dinner didn't actually start until close to 6:30pm and our table wasn't dismissed to go through the buffet line until most of the other tables had gone. It was worth the wait. We enjoyed visiting with our table mates, Ron & Jackie Rumbold, Bob & Jill Gangloff, and Bob & Myrna Hoerr.
After dinner Matt Feucht gave out prizes, then we played Jingo (a form of bingo) then finally the home employees were called up one at a time for their Christmas bonuses. That took hours, the home has many employees. We were glad when it was finally over. It is cold out 18 degrees and is suppose to drop to 12 tonight. Mark fired up the wood burner as soon as we walked in the door. So thankful for free heat!
