When we walked out of church the sun was shining and the temperature was in the mid 50s. We were blessed with warm sunny weather for this 24th, day of November. We headed over to Joan's to play on her beach first. David and Stephanie were the first of the group to arrive. David tried his hand at fishing.
Tumnus the deer came walking out of the woods for a visit. We think the Sauder's put that bandanna on him. They are hunters and didn't want to accidentally shoot a pet deer.
He wandered down to the lake for a drink.
When Kensley arrived she joined Israel in the boat.
Berlica was watching them play in the boat as she was sitting on the stump in the water.
Israel had to try out that stump too.
The fishing wasn't too good tonight but then again no one had any bait,
but Braelyn likes to try anyway.
Tumnus was curious and tried to figure out if she was going to be catching something for him.
Braelyn gave up and went to the boat followed by Tumnus who was tempted to get in but then didn't.
Eden and Zion weren't too happy to be on the boat without their parents.
Iris was happy.
The sun started going down so we all headed over to our house for Sunday dinner. Mark got home after dinner was done. He left straight from church to listen to the Messiah in Morton, IL at Grace church. It was nice to see Kelsey K as the Concertmaster at the Messiah hosted by Grace Church in Morton. If it wasn't for Mark's failed 50 year old Wheaton college memory he probably wouldn't have introduced himself to retired Grace church pastor Doug H. They sort of half remembered each other. They could have shared for hours but only had 5 minutes. The music is amazing. We have to eat in shifts in this small house and after the prayer filled the children plates then sent them into the other room to eat. It was a very noisy meal. After the meal the grandchildren went upstairs, found some Horsemeister shirts and came down in their new outfits.
We really did have a good time. I'm thankful for Sunday's, my favorite day of the week.
