Maddie and Chewy tied the knot which hopefully means a litter of those adorable Whoodle puppies in 63 days.
Above is Maddie and below is Chewy.
Below are a couple puppies from their last litter.
Most Whoodle puppies are born dark then lighten as they get older, but they can stay dark.
It will be interesting to see what Maddie produces this time. Speaking of producing, Ayanna came in season today proving she is NOT in foal, not pregnant and really is just fat. I'm disappointed but will not breed her back until spring. Karin arrived with Kayla to work with the stallions while I was watching Zion and Eden. After Sarah picked them up I went up to the barn to watch. They worked with Evan first and were just finishing up with him.
I sat down to watch and distracted him, he had to look back to see if I had treats. He was put away and Kayla brought Valiant out. Now it is very muddy here with rain then freezing temperatures then rain again and Valiant likes to roll on the soft sand which may help remove some of that mud, so Kayla asked him to do that first.
He then went over to the pedestal and got up on it hoping for a treat.
He was so funny, he would get back down when they asked but immediately walk over and get back up on it. Check out Kayla laughing at him in the picture below.
Karin rode him first then when Kayla got on the first thing Valiant did was get back up on the pedestal.
Karin had to flip the pedestal up to keep him off of it.
Today I got to ride Valiant too. He is such a fun ride and has such a big canter.
Kayla got to practice her rising trot before finishing up with some canter work on him.

It was when we were putting him away that I noticed Ayanna was showing. She was taken over to Evan and sure enough she is ready to stand. I'll plan on taking her out to Middle Grove on Monday when I go to pick up Daria (Lola's filly) who is going to head to her new home on Friday. Karin and I went over to mom's for a soup lunch then worked on a new puzzle. Dan arrived with Abram and Diesel. We had a good visit. This evening Mark and I watched a movie called Instant Family. It was based on a true story of a couple that starts out fostering 3 siblings and ends up adopting them.
