We had a nice day after our storm last night. Mom, Spark and Rhonda served lunch in Peoria today so mom went with them to church early. When we arrived they already had most everything done so I just signed up to wait a table then went into the sanctuary with Elisabet. Craig Stickling had the Father's day message. I highly recommend listening to that message on AC Central. Lunch went well. After lunch Tim Funk had the afternoon message. As soon as we got home from church Star and her filly were taken care of them the cooking started. Anni and Matt were getting ready to take the new puppy over to Anni's dad. Fedi has been asking for a puppy for around 10 years ever since their dog Gino died. Ruth felt that as long as she was working she could not deal with a puppy but now that Fedi is home recuperating for his big surgery and is not able to work he really really needed a dog to keep him company and take his mind off the pain. His children (Rebekah, Anni, Ryan and Steven) all felt now was the time and just had to talk Ruth into having a dog. They were very pleasantly surprised to find that Ruth was on the same page. Ruth and mom went last weekend to pick the puppy out (mom is an expert on German Shepherds). Well Matt video'd Fedi getting his gift and I'll just tell you Fedi wasn't the only one that had his eyes leaking. I think all of us that saw the video teared up.
She is beautiful and will be a wonderful companion for him. Fedi loves dogs and is a very good dog trainer. We ate at a delicious meal at mom's house then went outside for the usual volley ball games but today there was also football, horse back riding, trampoline fun, fishing, and swimming. Even the dogs had a good time today.
At one point, Bunni came over and joined in the volley ball games. She wandered onto the court and of course the play stopped.
Bunni wanted to follow the horses on the trail rides but instead she was taken back to the cabin field and put away.
