Day 2 Indian Camp 2019

The Indians started with breakfast at the playground at 8:00 am. Julie provided that.  Mom and I left for the Berean office but Anna and Stephanie were there to take pictures of the activities of the morning.  They hiked over to Diane's pond to look for clay and ended up finding turtle eggs buried in the beach. They found a good supply of clay.

The clay was taken back to Indian Point where the Indians worked it until it became usable. They then made pots, vases and bowls.
Next was the horse back riding.  Even Elisabet got to ride.
All of the horses had to be painted with war paint and all enjoyed the attention.
 Even the dogs got painted.
Below is the tribe of Indians with their ponies and dogs.
They were all give the job to collect leaves, seeds and bark off different trees. They were sent out with a partner, given the tree name they were to collect these items from then gave us the report of how to identify the tree.
Next was the refreshing swim time then canoe races.
Their drums and spears were finished today.
After supper Joan took them on a hike through the woods looking for deer, rabbit or squirrel with their spears.

They found a traveler and captured him taking him back to the camp where he was made to jump the fire to become part of the tribe.
They practiced their drums this evening. The video below is compressed as it was too long. If the sound bothers you just turn it down.
There are also 1500 pictures to go through so tomorrow will be busy.
