Craig, the bride's father had the afternoon message. He had the church laughing and weeping along with him as he spoke.
The reception was at the fellowship hall. Mark and I didn't go to the reception as we were having company here. The food was started as soon as I got home then Tatiana and her colt were put inside out of the sun. It was hotter than expected and I didn't want the colt to become overheated. As I was walking up to the barn I noticed Missy hanging around Evan's paddock.
Rhoda had arrived and just finished telling me that we need to breed Missy back. She saw the pictures of her filly yesterday and was very impressed. I pulled Missy out just to tease her when Karin pulled up with Nancy in the car. She took one look at me pulling Missy out and exclaimed, "what are you doing with Missy?" and then "YOU were going to breed her again weren't you!" Yep, I was caught red handed. None of the riders want Missy bred, she is just so valuable as a riding horse and yet what a waste not to produce another foal like hers this year.
She is flashy, has a huge amount of hair and such amazing movement. If she settles she will be due the very end of July 2019. Aren't kids almost back in school by then? She can be ridden through June if they need her and yes, I hope she settles. Karin brought Nancy in to meet baby Iris.
Nancy made sure I would take a picture and send it to mom of her holding Iris. We had a big group for dinner tonight and after dinner the volley ball games were fun and entertaining to watch. There were lots of little kids tonight at the playground so we took them on a couple of nice long golf cart rides. The kids don't realize it but they really do have something special each Sunday to spend time with lots of first and second cousins all playing together. Taunya's dad came to watch the games and take Addyson's shoes with him. Addyson left them at the Branson house and Anna brought them home. Ron will mail them to Addyson. Joan took Nancy home tonight. She sure had fun today. She got to pet the new baby horse, hold Iris, eat steak and watch the volley ball players while sitting with Spark then spend time with Joan as she took her home.
Indy is starting to bag up. She is due Sept 2nd and is the last mare due this year. She isn't bagged up enough to be stalled but nice to see her progressing some.
