Soon Diesel couldn't stand it, got up and tried to crawl into Dan's lap.
Diesel is much to big of a dog to be a lap dog. Emma moved away then when Diesel laid back down Emma snuck back close to Dan just in case he was still petting dogs. Ruby had no fear of Diesel by that time, check out his expression as she struts over to check him out.
When Dan left I ran to Diane's office to balance the Horsemeister check book and it took less than a half hour this time. When I walked into her office my car thermometer was reading 46 degrees and when I walked out it was reading 34 degrees and that was in a half hour! As soon as I got home the truck and trailer were moved into the indoor arena. Last year we had an ice storm and the truck and trailer had been left out. They were so covered in ice we couldn't open any of the doors of either the truck or the trailer leaving them useless. By the time I got back to the house it was well below freezing. It really was that rare phenomenon called the flash freeze. This evening the wind is howling trying to get into every crack and crannie of our 150 year old house, our back door has been frozen shut by the ice, and our wood burner is burning as hot as we can make it.Rhoda and Lee made it to Hawaii just a few minutes ago and sent back these pictures.
So much green! Diane, mom and I were at this exact spot 13 years ago.
