Emma and Her Playmates

Since the sun was out and the roads have been cleared Rhoda and Sarah came today. Rhoda brought Ruby, Sarah brought Zion, Rizzy and Ari and Ebby came over for a visit. It was still too cold for the dogs to stay out long but they sure enjoyed the snow for a few minutes at a time.

Ari came in and jumped right on the couch. She is such a princess, she doesn't like cold feet.
When Rizzy jumped up on the couch it was just too much for Emma.
She had to go right over and tell those girls to get off the couch, the couch is ONLY for humans. Actually we make an exception for small non shedding dogs. They are allowed to be on the couch, just EMMA is not allowed on the couch.
Ebby came over also today. She was not impressed with our company. First of all Zion's car seat was taking up some of the area she claims when she comes,
and then those city dogs don't know their manners.
Ebby puts up with them but would prefer her OWN space. Above Rizzy is happy to greet Ebby but Ebby sticks up her nose as if to say, "leave me alone."
Emma is always glad to play. She plays very gentle for such a big dog.

Zion was happy to see Rhoda and I giving us a big smile.
She was so interested in what Rhoda had to say.
Today Zion was giggling out loud. Zion is 3 months old and is such a joy.
Karin came over just before lunch so we all went to the warehouse and enjoyed some of their delicious food. Karin had no work today, Galesburg school district was called off as the weather was again below zero. She was telling us about her frozen pipes and the disaster when she got her house warmed up. Her shut off valve is in her crawl space and she had to climb into that as the water was spraying out drenching her and when she got to the shut-off the handle was broken off. Her phone was dead but luckily the neighbor lent her a vice grips. She was so cold and frozen by the time she got the water shut off, it took forever for her to warm up. We heard on the news tonight that pipes are freezing up all over the Peoria area. It is suppose to get to -10 again tonight with a high of only single digits Friday then -9 by Saturday morning. There IS an end in sight though, Sunday is suppose to get above freezing. Sure am thankful for our wood burner and very thankful for all the wood Mark split this year.
