When I got home, the horses needed to be grained and the 3 fillies were worked with. The sun was shining and it was just too nice to be inside. Karin arrived after work to take advantage of one of the last nice days for 2017. She only had time to work 3 mares before dark. Rosalie was the first mare out. Karin has so much fun working with this mare. Check out that smile.
Karin was well pleased with how well Rosalie did today. Next out was Jenis. We are a little concerned about Jenis. She is not exactly moving as well as she had been. She isn't lame, just not moving as free.
Karin finished her training up with a rear.
She dismounted and tried some chiropractic work on her back legs. Karin noticed on the trail ride Saturday that Jenis was holding her tail off to the left instead of straight. Jenis was put back and Zalena brought out. Zalena is moving great! She is going to be 19 years old in 2018 but is very fit.
Tomorrow the weather is suppose to change and by Thursday night or Friday early morning we may get some snow and then comes the cold. LOTS of cold, that big cold spell is suppose to head south. We aren't too happy about that as 81 people from our family is all heading down to Gulf Shores, AL for our annual sibling trip. It sure would be nice to keep this coming cold up here in Illinois.
