Emily left right after the walk taking Piper and Serenity out to Middle Grove then bringing home Anna's colt for weaning. I needed to spread gravel while waiting for Dee, the buyer of Zalena's filly. She arrived at 9:00 am with the deposit for the filly and named her Zoey. After she left a stall was prepared for Anna's colt. After Emily arrived and we unloaded him, we moved Sangria and Sheena and their colts over from the cabin field to join the other mares and foals here. Eliza is still in season and was covered by Evan before the rain started. The foals were so much fun to watch today, running around playing with each other and then galloping back to their mom's. Emma is now in her foal heat. We won't cover her for 2 days and then she must be covered by Evan, she is too closely related to Valiant. Hopefully soon we can get updated pictures of all these foals around here. They are growing so fast and are all so beautiful.
I left for the shop to start entering all the letters from yesterday finishing around 2:00 pm. Before heading home I had to head over to Morton, IL to pick up some Bio-Sponge from Hoerr Vet clinic. Zalena is in her foal heat and Zoey has some diarrhea. On the way home the phone rang. Since the blue tooth wasn't hooked up I was not able to answer it but heard the message not much later that the lady that is interested in purchasing Piper has set up a time with Dr. Hoerr to do a prepurchase exam on her on Friday when he comes Friday for the scheduled ultrasound appointment .
I was pretty thrilled until I realized Emily just hauled her to Middle Grove this morning and now tomorrow after work I will have to pick her up from there. Oh well she at least is going to get 2 days of wonderful grazing on that lush green grass out there and just think of all this wonderful trailer training she is going through.
Mom made a big pot of beef vegetable soup and invited us all over for dinner before church.
