Holding Pattern

Diane will not be able to help down at Berean for the next couple weeks. She gave me Tim Martin's phone number and it was a good thing she did. We used every Bible we had in the place and were still short 61 Bibles. Tim promised to have them delivered  by Tuesday. He has a young group coming tonight to stuff and wrap Bibles. Praying they have a big crowd and get a thousand done. We had another good group at Berean.
Rachel and Tiffany were in charge of the Bibles while Roma, Diane R, Chuck and Eva Jean worked on letters and studies. We were able to finish everything by noon. I was so thankful. For some reason I am very tired today. As soon as I got home the stalls were cleaned then off to Sam's Club to buy food. Mark and I are hosting potluck tomorrow night and we must have something good to serve. I made it home in time to get the groceries put away, make a quick dinner then we picked up mom to go to Mel Getz visitation.  We arrived just before 6:00 pm and got through the line before 6:30 pm. As soon as we got home the mares were checked. Ribbon and Emma were brought inside for some grain and to check their udders better as it was pouring rain outside. Emma who is due May 26th looks much more ready than Ribbon who is due May 13th. Zalena's filly is nursing well and is such a friendly filly. She already enjoys being scratched on her back. Eliza's udder is now squirting milk each time she walks. The milk was tested at 350 so we should have a foal by morning. It would be wonderful if she would deliver before midnight. I could really use the sleep. Just as it was getting dark outside I realized the mare paddock had run out of hay. Mark was willing to go out in the rain to give them another bale. Becca is spending the night again to help with Eliza. She is also going to stay the day tomorrow to help when Dr. Hoerr arrives for ultrasounds, coggins, and teeth. It is a big job having the horses shuttled from the paddocks to the stalls. We will only be able to use 2 of the stalls at a time as the others are now occupied with the new babies and mamas.
Praying for a safe birth and a healthy foal soon.
