Update from Dan, the Day After the Fire

time for another update...
today was just plain cold. I have some borrowed clothes from Rachel Sauder's family, dry socks,, don't underestimate the value of simple things.
Spark and I had a long meeting with the state fire marshal in the morning.... there was really nothing conclusive as to the cause of the fire...He did explain where the hottest part was...immediately after that, we met with the power company and the fire chief. We were allowed to turn on power to parts of the building, but not water and gas. we have electricity on in all the tenant spaces and the apartment area where we stay.... It was only the area used for Gods people that was damaged/destroyed except for the gym.. go figure..
the main part of the building will be under investigation for probably a week.
The Police and fire dept requested some fencing to secure the auditorium area. One quick phone call and Breck Nelson was on his way with more than enough construction fence for the job..
Tomorrow morning I will be meeting with Carl Hoerr, Dave Hoerr, and Someone from N.E. Finch to discuss possible controlled demo of certain areas..
Ultimately,, Keep praying,, The camps are scrambling to figure out what to do so plead with the Father for wisdom for them..
A lot of people are asking if we will rebuild... at this point I am concentrating on NOT thinking of the distant future.. just the next crisis or task...
Tomorrow I am going to try to find a way to get the water out of the flooded basement.. there are sump pumps, but no electricity.. and I am not allowed in that area anyway... I will try to borrow a gas powered water pump from Beth Herman and try to rig it to the sump pump piping so i can drain it and possibly get power back on in the gym area.
Again, pray for sleep for me,, peace for my family to know that we are still in the palm of God's hand.. and again most of all that Jesus would be proud of his bride tomorrow.. Beauty from Ashes,,,
More tomorrow..
