Thursday

This morning Becky and Aunt Jinny made crepes for breakfast along with sausage, fresh pineapple and home made pumpkin bread. Becky, Barbara, mom and Aunt Jinny took off for Fort Morgan and bird watching while Diane, Beth and I walked over to the pool and spent the entire morning and most of the afternoon lazing around on a raft in a very refreshing pool. Once the bird watchers came back it was off to the beach for walking, swimming, fishing and of course reading on the beach. We had reservation to go out on the bay for a dolphin cruise at 5:00pm so needed to clean up and leave by 4:15pm. Pictured below is the boat with her captain and his wife Charlie and Cherrie Davis. Their boat was the Gray Ghost leaving from Zeke's Marina. To make reservations, the phone number is 251-942-7653, the cost was $15.00 each. We had a very nice time on the dolphin cruise. We took a lot of pictures but of course most didn't turn out very well. These 2 are the best I took.

We saw 2 different pods of dolphins both heading from the bay going out into the gulf. We also heard of a manatee out by the rocks that started heading to the Florida cost but didn't get close enough to see that. We saw this sail boat coming in from the gulf, I took the picture as it was going under the big bridge.
The captain's wife took our picture standing on the front of the boat as we were coming back into the harbor. The captain slowed the boat down so we could get some pictures of the sun as it was setting.
We had a good cruise and I highly recommend doing this if you are coming down to Gulf Shores. Our boat was good, our captain's wife was very informative and we really did have a good time.
Once back from the cruise we had BLT sandwiches, fruit and lots of left overs. Right after dinner Becky started video taping our mom's stories. She first ran out of battery, then video tape but got to the point of both of their weddings. We must finish this tomorrow, we could hardly stand to quit. Sure hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day!
