We were up early and that was good as we needed to leave for church at 8:00 am to help David and Stephanie set up for church. That went very well and church lunch was excellent. Below is just before lunch started.
Gregg Rumbold had the morning message. I was not able to listen as we were busy getting lunch ready but it is now up on AC Central. I can just click HERE and watch it tomorrow. Mark was one of the people sweeping and he got done just before the ministers went up for the second service. Mike Kaisner had that on Jonah. Click HERE if you would like to watch that. We stopped at Aldi to pick up 2 packages of hot dogs and 3 packages of buns to go with the chili for our dinner. Sarah was already here cleaning the barn after our very first airbnb guests that stayed in the new barn left today. I had to go straight to Joan's house to meet a man and his wife bringing back the camper they rented through RV Share. When I got home and changed I went to the barn to help with the cleaning. Rhoda had arrived and those two girls were hard at work. All of the beds were stripped and laundry started. The towels were started in the barn laundry, I took two loads over to the apartment and two loads to our house. There were 12 staying so we had a lot of sheets and a lot of towels. While the machines were going here I got the cinnamon rolls baking, the peppers cut up and the salad stuff together for the meal tonight. Our dessert tonight was wonderful home baked cookies by Patty Kummer. Mike and Diane stopped in to tell us about their Afghan guests. The grand kids went summer sledding but Taegan took them as I was busy tonight. They came back before dark and had a wonderful time. These kids are getting lots of practice both of driving the golf cart and riding the sleds. The volley ball games started while Mark and I cleaned up.
Our first barn airbnb guests left a wonderful 5 star review: Awesome place. We had 3 of our grandkids with us and they had PLENTY of things to do! This place is GORGEOUS! Thank you for making our trip enjoyable! Would DEFINETLY recommend!! I was a little worried because I forgot we didn't have any blinds on the windows. We don't have any neighbors but most guests would want to have privacy at night. Anna is going to order those. Mark also agreed we needed more gravel on the corners. The other big news actually happened yesterday but I wanted to surprise the kids today. The Wildcat 5th wheel sold yesterday morning.
The family of 4 drove up from St. Louis with their big truck. They were so happy to have the bunk room for their boys, two bathrooms and a very private bedroom. I was happy as now I don't have to winterize it OR clean it. Now it is easy to drive all the way around the barn and guests can park in front of the front door. Airbnb was contacted to learn how to remove the ad.
