Mom was up before 6:00 am as she knew we needed to leave by 8:30 am for the Blue Angel air show in Pensacola, Florida. It was still quite dark at that time. There were dark clouds so we didn't think we would see much of the sunrise. The picture below was taken just before 7:00 am.
One small break let the red light shine through.
The next two pictures were taken closer to 7:15 am.
Mom and I were sitting out on the balcony listening to Clark Stoller who had the afternoon message in Forest, IL on Sunday. Yesterday we listened to David have the morning message. I'm not able to get on AC Central on this computer so can't share the links but will when we get home on Saturday. At 8:30 am the Waibels brought their van here to pick up Mackenson and Berlica then Mark and I went in the wheel chair van with mom and Aunt Jinnie to the Naval museum in Pensacola, Florida. We saw a Osprey nest as we turned into the drive.
The air show was very interesting and entertaining. We saw jets do all kinds of movements.
The camera on the phone had a hard time focusing on such fast moving jets. Below are a couple videos.
AT the end they introduced the pilots of each jet as the landed and taxied down the runway in front of the crowd.
I took many but will put them together when I get home. We ate our packed lunch at a picnic table there at the Naval Museum then went to the main entrance and went inside for a bit.
When we got home the wind was really blowing. There was a kite boarder heading way out into the Gulf.
The sun was out so we went down to the beach.
The waves were huge, both Joan and I went swimming but the boogie boarding wasn't the best the waves came crashing down and the currant was sweeping any swimmers quickly West. Berlica was getting pretty good at surfing.
Matt took a board out and ran right into Cheyenne.
The waves were growing. We stayed outside all afternoon.
By the time we got back in the condo the kids AND us were hungry. Joan made a big pan of chicken stir fry and rice. For dessert we had ice cream. After supper Joan and Aunt Jinnie went up to the roof hot tub. We are all heading to bed now and all pleasantly tired after playing all day.
