Galena's Girl

A text came today from the lady who bought Galena last year. It's a GIRL!

We are thrilled for both Galena and her owner. Such a beautifully marked filly. Our day started with the coffee wars.  Mark got up at 3:00 am and started the coffee. By the time I got up at 5:30 am the pot was already half empty AND no longer hot. To keep peace in this house we will need to buy another coffee pot so each evening I can make 2 half pots of coffee. That way Mark can start his pot when ever he wants and mine will be ready at 5:15 am, strong and hot.  This truly is first world problem. Can't we all just get along. I was laughing as I typed this.  We left at 9:00 am drove over to mom's and picked up mom and Aunt Jinnie for church.  Mark drove mom's car. We had another wonderful day in church. Gregg Rumbold had the first service. Lunch was served by the Bible class and included brats, hot dogs, hot cheesy noodles, broccoli salad and all kinds of home baked sweets. David had the afternoon service on Psalm 68.
After church Ruth met us at mom's and helped get mom back into the house.  The thermometer was reading 46 degrees with bright sunshine. Mom and Aunt Jinnie spent some time out on the deck on the swing.
After dropping off mom and Aunt Jinnie after church we had just gotten home and walked inside when a car pulled up with a group of people wanting to look at Rockaway.  I led him out to the field and let him go to show off his movement. He had fun galloping around the field bucking and when I opened the back gate ran right back inside where he belonged.  I'm not sure how interested they were but told me they would like to think about it. I said good by and headed in to get supper going.  We had a delicious supper tonight. Mark grilled parmesan coated chicken pieces and when they were almost done brought them inside and put them in the crock pot on low to finish while he took the vegetables out to grill. Those were green, red, yellow and orange peppers, plus 3 large onions all of which had been coated with olive oil and parmesan cheese then grilled.  While mark was grilling I was using the air fryer to fry 25 egg rolls. We also had a big salad and the chicken pot pie.  Anna brought lots of goodies, her mom and dad served lunch today at Morton. There was plenty of food and it all tasted good. There is even enough for dinner at mom's tomorrow. Once the food was put away and the table cleared the crafts were brought out.
Below are a few pictures.
