3 For 3

Emily had an appointment today to shop with her mom in Bloomington then meet with Rhoda so we decided to cover mares this evening. She didn't need to leave until after 10:00 am giving us time to work a few mares and pull hair from each of the foals for the registration papers. Once all the hair was pulled and taped Piper was worked with so I could get some better pictures for the website.
She was taken to the stall area to stick her now that our new fancy stick came in. Piper is a bit taller than 17.2 hands, that is just huge, an entire hand taller than Valiant. We got a few pictures of her then headed over to the cabin to take a few of Emma.
The next three pictures are of Emma and Emily. We were surprised what a loving mare Emma is, she followed Emily around like a puppy.

When I got back Lily's colt came right up to see if the golf cart had any grain on it. All the horses love to see the golf cart coming. This colt is just beautiful.
Dan brought Diesel over and was giving him a drink out of the horse waterer when all the horses had to come see this strange animal.
When Emily arrived back with Ebby Diesel came running up to her and this was her reaction:
I had to take the car in to East Peoria Tire to get the snow tires off and 2 new tires put on then hit Aldi on the way back. By the time I got home Karin had arrived to work horses. She wanted to try Piper first as we had been told that Piper rides and drives. Well Piper was nervous of the saddle pad, wouldn't stand for the saddle so Karin decided to just round pen her first to see if she would settle down. We do not believe this mare could be driven and even if she is trained to ride we are going to start her over. By the end of the session Piper was following Karin around and standing still when asked. Our trainers are the best!
Piper had very nice movement, she has a naturally balanced canter and big trot.
 Karin pulled out Lola next.
Lola is doing amazingly well, Karin introduced her to the round pen reasoning today then rode her. Mark arrived so I went in to start supper. On the way in though I had to snap this picture of Indy's filly napping in the hay.
Phil and Anna were coming for dinner tonight and the plan was after dinner to have Philip install the new wifi foaling camera in the stall barn. I got a message from Emily that she was not going to make it home until late tonight so Karin helped with the breeding. Killian covered Oksana, Valiant covered Piper and Evan covered Serenity. All were successful covers.
After supper we put Sangria in the stall so we could test the camera out. It works wonderful. It is unplugged now but we will plug it in when we have a mare. I can even check out the stall from my phone no matter where I am, what an amazing invention!
