We walked into Meister's this morning to find Rhoda's wedding dress had arrived. Instead of getting down to work, Rhoda tried it on to find a perfect fit and a beautiful dress.
We ordered the dress on ebay and it was coming from China so we weren't sure if it was a scam or would really fit. Amazing to think we could order something from so far away so much much cheaper than any wedding dress here in America and it fits. Not just Eva Jean and Diane were admiring it, the entire staff at Meister's had to come in and see how beautiful my daughter looked. The dress was put away just before more helpers arrived so of course the phones were taken out, the phones with all the pictures of Rhoda in the dress, and we all raved over it again. It really was a winning moment. There won't be any pictures of the dress posted here until the wedding.
We had a good productive day working for Berean Prison Ministry. Ellen gave us enough stamps to get the 50 Bibles out from Tuesday when we ran out of stamps. Lisa dropped off Jarvis and Ezra to help Rachel prepare the studies, Eva Jean worked on opening the lessons then processing them. Diane kept the copier going and also read the letters, Rhoda finished stamping the Bibles, loading them in the van and then worked on anything we needed her to while I worked on the computer. Emily went home to Forest, IL. We were also able to get a box UPS'd to a Prison in Sherman Texas to a chaplain that wanted to see exactly what we were sending out. Philip had to come in and help with that, for some reason the UPS link on our computer won't print the first time we ask and then we end up with a double shipment and must void one so we don't get charged for both. By the time we were ready to leave we had caught up on a lot of the work we weren't able to finish on Tuesday.
Right after we finished up, Rhoda and I went to Sam's Club and bought the prime rib for our Christmas dinner which will now be held at Joan's house.
