Fire Fighting Girls

Emily moved a new bale in the breeding shed paddock this morning. This paddock makes a great weanling shelter. The grain is stored there and the weanlings need grain. They also got the best bale. They need the best nutrition for growing big and strong. We moved 4 weanlings Violet, Tatiana, Magnum and Ribber in there. Tomorrow Treasure will be moved in with them.
Anna dropped off the girls so when Kensley was taking her nap, Braelyn, Taegan and I went out to
'help' Emily with burning the burn pile.
Above Emily has moved the trailers and is bringing the blue fire starter. Below the girls are watching Emily get ready to light the fire.

The fire takes off quickly and by the time it reaches the old bales we had flames shooting high into the sky. It is actually scary how quickly hay ignites when we think of our barn full of hay.
The girls were kept at a safe distance on the golf cart but even from there we could feel the heat coming off the burning pile.

Emily was in charge of keeping the fire going. She was also watching to make sure it didn't spread where it wasn't suppose to spread.
Oksana was fascinated with the flames.
On the way back to the house we stopped the golf cart to let Braelyn and Taegan pet the weanlings who were all begging for attention.
Above Magnum is sticking his head through the fence to let Taegan pet him and below Braelyn is taking her turn with petting them. The colt in the blue halter is Ripper, he is the other colt that loves people, the boys wouldn't let the girls, Violet and Tatiana, get their share of petting. You can see Violet's ears between the 2 boys but they just wouldn't let her in.
The girls were taken back inside for lunch. After lunch they were playing with Emma when Braelyn discovered Emma's nipples. She was wondering what they were, then started decorating them with red ribbon. Emma just lays there and enjoys the attention.

I got only 1 picture of Kensley before Anna took the girls home. She was such a happy girl today.
Thankfully Mark brought home Chinese food for dinner tonight as we didn't have a lot of time before needing to leave for church. We picked up Diane and mom for that. Craig Martin from Princeville was our visiting minister tonight. His sermon was on the manifestation of God.
