Father's Day Fun

After a very blessed time at church we were blessed again by company. Rhoda, Sarah, Mom, Phil, Anna, Braelyn and Taegan came for dinner then over to the playground for fun and games. Below are a few pictures of the evening.

When Dan and his family pulled up, I didn't even let him hardly get out of his van before asking for help. He willingly came over to the barn and within minutes had my golf cart charger fixed and ready to go. Both Mark and I marvel at his mechanic ability! He had just finished Sr. High Girls Camp at the Old School Center and needed a break before heading back to get the school to set up for the next group.
Mark was working on our new driveway and noticed something hanging from Rhoda's rear car tire.
He thought it may be a broken brake cable or something really serious. When he climbed under to see if he could fix it, this is what he found.
This is a dead snake, it is wrapped around  and around the axle then cooked. Neither of us wanted to try to untangle it. It was actually pretty gross smelling. I don't think I would like cooked snake meat. Mark was getting back up and noticed this on her license plate.
It expired in April! He found the new sticker and now she is legal to drive,
if she wants to drive around with a 6 foot long dead snake hanging down from her tire.
Tomorrow Emily and I need to leave early in the morning for a trip to Middle Grove to bring Hadassah and her colt back. A man from Chicago wants to come see him at 11:00am. When we get back Rhoda, Emily and Amanda are taking Indy, Ayanna and Killian trail riding.
