Busy Friday

Phil arrived with Braelyn and Taegan early enough that both girls got to ride the golf cart on the second round of the walk.
We stopped at the cabin field to take a picture of Cookie, she was so white in the sunlight she was gleaming.
Cookie is just a beautiful mare. Jenis was teased and she showed. She was covered by Evan.
After breakfast Emily pulled Valiant out for some schooling. He was a naughty boy, but in all honesty we didn't expect anything different. He had energy to burn and the morning was cool. Check out Emily's form on  this bucking bronco.

By this time Taegan was ready for a bottle and a nap. Once she was sleeping soundly Braelyn was taken back out and got to ride Ribbon with Emily. She was so thrilled!
She didn't want to get off, Emily took Ribbon into the outdoor arena and Braelyn got to go fast.
I had to take a few pictures of Ribbon's filly bucking and galloping around showing off.

Finally we told Braelyn it was time to give Ribbon a bath and she could help. She was more than willing to get off for that.
After Ribbon was put away Braelyn wanted to drive her princess car. It wouldn't start but grandma had a pretty good motor, pushing it around the arena for her.
After lunch Braelyn took a nap which overlapped by about 15 minutes with Taegan. A lot can get done when both girls are sleeping at the same time. Emily got going on the Kubota mowing the pond pasture, the drive and finishing up with the cow pasture.

Her sister Laura arrived to spend the night with her. Together they raked the 2 arenas went swimming and went riding. Mom and I left around 4:00pm to pick up Nancy and head to Bloomington to visit new little Jace. He is such a sweet baby.

We stopped for dinner before taking Nancy home. When I arrived home there was a box sitting on the front porch. I ignored it thinking it must be something for Mark. When Mark came in from working on the concrete he brings it in and says it's for me. It was a bouquet of flowers from Monet, the mare that came for Evan 2 days ago. Thank you Monet, and a special thanks to her owner Diane Moore who probably had something to do with this.

A long day but a good day!
