Barrel Racing Friesian

After work I met the FS man about the ag-lime delivery, he will bring a couple of semi loads on Thursday, but he wants to drive through the barn meaning the fire engine must be moved and he doesn't think he can dump in the arena. We think he just hasn't thought of backing in and will try our best to talk him into that. He suggested applying roundup to the arena before spreading the lime. Most of it was done until running out of Mark's supply. Mark came home from work ready to labor and labor we did putting up more railing for the arena. Rhoda has been working on teaching Ylse to barrel race. She is thinking of taking her to the Pekin Riding Club show on Friday. Ylse was doing so well we quit working and grabbed the camera.

At the end of the session Rhoda had to show Ylse's Spanish Walk off. She was laughing as the camera makes it look like Ylse knows how to do this well, she really doesn't.

Mike moved in a new bale for Raven and one for the boys. Hopefully they will last until Mike gets back from his big trip. He is leaving for Colorado elk hunting tomorrow with his son Andrew along with Chad Herman and Jozef Davidovics, while Diane is heading to Gulf Shores, Alabama with some friends.
Tomorrow we start hauling horses out to Middle Grove. Lily and Cindy on the first load and DaMita and Dalia on the second load. Steven Marchal has some time and offered to come which is great, I need to pull hair off Sangria's filly for her registration papers and could use help holding her while this is accomplished.
The other foals that need to have their hair pulled are here at the farm.
