Our First Day

On the way down to Gulf Shores yesterday all of a sudden someone decides she MUST stretch out. She turns around with her rear facing the window and it looked like she was thinking of mooning traffic, when I tried to take a picture this is what she did. Now I'm not saying whose hand this is, you'll just have to guess.

After an almost good breakfast made with old bacon that stunk up the condo this morning we walked west down the beach, on the way back JR Meister and his friend Raynor came out to meet us, took us up to see their newly purchased condo.
We picked up Aunt Jinny at the Pensacola airport around 12:50pm and made it back to the condo by 2:00pm. After changing into our swimsuits we took the boogie boards down to the Gulf and rode the waves for a bit before just relaxing in the hot sunshine on the beach.
JR and Raynor came over to borrow the boogie boards for some surfing. We decided to meet at the Original Oyster House for dinner at 5:30pm but before leaving we were blessed to see a storm way out into the sea. Our dinners were delicious, we enjoyed their abundant salad bar and the entrees were very well prepared. When it came time to pay our bills, the waitress brought one for me, one for Beth and one for Aunt Jinny and mom as they shared a meal. She did not bring bills for JR or Raynor. We thought she must have gone back to get their bills but when she came back she tells them, "your meal has already been taken care of because you are so good looking." We thought she was kidding, I asked "What did she say?" and Raynor very embarrassed says kind of quiet, "she said, they were paid for because we look good." Oh did we ever laugh! These boys were already sunburned and one would think they could never turn more red but somehow they turned so red they glowed.

We left the place laughing. On the way back we stopped and looked at the house the Herman's will be renting next month then headed back to the condo where the clouds and setting sun was putting on a beautiful nightly show with first a rainbow, then gorgeous colors reflecting off the clouds.

Poor JR they came over after dinner, mom put him to work taking a broken light bulb out of a socket on the balcony with a pliers then turned the light switch on as he was working on it and set off sparks and quite a buzz, but he is still alive Beth.
Farm news, Steven Marchal called to say Ylse was covered, Ribbon is out. Rhoda is showing tonight at Pekin Riding club.
