We pulled out at 5:15am and made it to mom's condo at 6:45pm a 13 and a half hour uneventful trip. Only one scary part going through a huge rain storm at 70 miles an hour and the car starts to plane. We slowed way down at that point. Sitting at a stop light in Foley with our windows rolled up the radio is playing quietly when mom says, "someone has their radio on very loud." After a good laugh we were rejuvenated enough to finish the trip strong.
Back at the farm, Steven got there in the morning, got Ribbon covered, grained Raven and Sanna then stuck a salt block in the trailer for when Mike heads out to Middle Grove. As if that wasn't enough, he drives BACK to the farm 7 hours later and gets Ylse covered and moves Breyer into Ribbon's paddock. Thank goodness for good help. Mike would have to be working WAY harder if he wasn't around.
Steven drove out to Washington, IL looked over some round bales for sale and told the farmer we want around 100 of them. Now we just need to come up with $4000.00 to pay for them PLUS hauling.
We are tired but thankful to be here and will head to bed shortly. Tomorrow we drive into Pensacola to pick up Aunt Jinnie.
