The picture above was taken after I had driven into the field. The picture below taken after I had shut the gate. Ripper came galloping up and was trying to see who was inside the trailer. He was disappointed to find out it was empty.
Oksana, Irish and Skye also came up to see. The first picture of Irish shows her nice round belly. She was bred to Valiant and is due May 1st.
I could see Indy up on the top of the hill with Ilsa, and Cookie. Lola and Galena were heading over. On the other side of the hill were Lily and Sangria along with a few more Friesians. I didn't get that far though.
I got a scare, I saw a big body of a black horse laying flat on the hillside but when I started walking up that big body put up her head. It was Rosaleigh. When I got a little close I saw 3 more bodies. That is Rosaleigh far right, Jewel far left and the 2 in the middle, the one with the head up is Rosalie and the one laying flat is Ayanna.
About this time Skye started galloping right toward the sleeping mares. They grudgingly got up, pinned their ears and joined in the gallop. That is Skye right in the front of the picture below.
They all took off heading over the hill to join the other horses on the other side.
Tatiana and her filly were still below me and I didn't want them to take off so went right down and put a halter on Tatiana and started leading her to the trailer. When Skye realized they were not coming she came galloping all the way back down to us and tried to stop the filly from getting into the trailer. She doesn't like any horse to leave her herd.
She started circling us bucking with each stride, finally taking off in a gallop back up and over the hill.
Skye got the filly running but she didn't leave her mother who was standing in the trailer. By this time Mike and Diane showed up on the 4 wheeler.

The filly loaded up quietly, Mike opened the gate and off I drove for home. When I got here Karin was just putting away Valiant and getting Evan out. Faith and Berlica were here and were learning how to work the boys. It was Berlica's job to clean up any manure dropped.
Faith tapped the pedestal and Evan climbed up.
He gets a treat when he does that so he really likes posing for treats.
She asked him to move around the pedestal
but he ran right over and stood back up on it again. Below Faith is asking him to get down.
Mark and Mackenson were out sledgehammering concrete into chunks which were then loaded into the skid steer and dumped on the side of the drive where the drive is eroding.
They all quit working by lunch time. Karin and I went to mom's for lunch. After lunch Mark helped clean out the weanling shelter and then gave them a new bale.
Mike and Diane sent the picture below this afternoon. The horses were all spread out grazing near the lake on this sunny relatively warm 45 degree day.
This evening Mark and I watched the movie Unplanned from Amazon. It is a true story about Planned Parenthood and quite a tear jerker. Everyone should see this movie.
