Winding Down

Yesterday morning was sunny and hot. The grandchildren were all taken to the public beach here on Diamond Lake. The boats were not taken out at all in the afternoon storms arrived with lots of rain. That wasn't the only thing that arrived, along with the rain came cool weather. Too cool to want to wakeboard or swim. We played indoor games until supper. Lee and Rhoda left early for their date night driving to a couple different towns, one for their lunch and then later for shopping. Stephanie and David provided the dinner tonight making us loaded stuffed baked potatoes. It was a delicious meal. Lee and Rhoda made it back after we had finished eating but were still visiting around the table and were glad there was some left. In the evening David took the three boys about 20 minutes away to a McDonald's that had an indoor playground while we kept the girls here and played beauty shop. The girls got their hair straightened if it was curly and curled if it was straight, and then came the make-up. Oh it was so very funny watching their reactions. Lots of pictures were taken which will be worked on later today. After the granddaughters were done admiring themselves they were given the task of making US beautiful. Yes those pictures will be posted too. It was hilarious. Stephanie left her's on until David got home with the boys just to see his reaction but David failed. He didn't react, we were all staring at him in anticipation when someone asked him, "what do you think of Stephanie?" He looked at her and said, "did you do something with your hair?" Pictures will be added soon so the reader can see exactly WHY the room erupted in laughter.
Nolan and Sarah left for home last night so Mark and I moved out of the tent into their room. Ben and Taunya packed up and left early this morning for their long trip back to Dallas. The rest of us leave tomorrow morning as soon as the house is in order.
