Middle Grove Drop Off and Pick UP

Rhoda arrived early, in fact I barely had time to finish my breakfast and she was ready to help load Bunni and Missy for their trip to Middle Grove. We drove into the field, shut the gates and let them out. They stood at the gate looking into the winter pasture in hopes they could see the herd. Once they realized we were not going to open those gates they took off galloping up the hill to find the herd.
We drove the truck and trailer to the top of the hill. The herd heard us coming and came running out of the woods to greet us, Jenis was in the lead followed by Soul and her filly Francesca.

They quickly surrounded the trailer just hoping we would 'pick them'.
Rhoda put halters on Whitney, Sally and Rosaleigh, the three mares coming home with us but when we tried to load, we had to keep shooing out the other horses. Everytime they saw the open trailer door they thought it must be an invitation to enter. It took us a few minutes to get the ones away we didn't want going and the ones we wanted in the trailer. The foals loaded up almost without incident. We needed to bring back Sally and Eli as Eli needs more groceries than Sally is providing and Rosaleigh needed to come home because her colt is so big she is giving him most of her calories. She needs to be grained. Whitney was put in the back of the trailer. We decided to take a few minutes to photograph some of the horses and started with EasterBonnet.
Rhoda put a halter on her so we could get a few pictures with her letting Ruby sit on her.

Before letting her go Rhoda picked up her hooves.
When we turned around the horse trailer was surrounded by horses trying to get IN the trailer. They were all the way around below are a few pictures.
None of these horses are tied.
Bethany came up for some attention. Check out the neck on this filly. She was born April 1st, 2016 and is an Evan daughter. She is registered with Friesian Heritage Horse International.

I don't think she liked Rhoda's kisses. We had to push the horses away before we could pull out. When we got back to the Hanna City farm, Sally and Rosaleigh along with the 2 foals were put in stalls and grained. Rhoda brought Whitney out so we could make a new video for her owner.
The video was uploaded on the Horsemeister Facebook page then we left for lunch going to the Warehouse in Hanna City. That was delicious.
This evening some of us went to mom's for games which got over after dark. We had a storm come through with lots of lightning and thunder but not much rain. We so need rain here.
