Home and Back to Work

We left this morning from Diamond lake around 10:00 am once breakfast was done and the lake house cleaned up making it home by 2:30 pm. Pictures were taken of the swans at sunrise on the lake.
If interested in seeing the rest of the sunrise pictures click HERE.  As soon as we got home Karin came over to help with teasing the mares. We have 3 in season right now, two for Valiant and one for Evan. Coke was teased and covered first.
She is a maiden mare and was in heavily but wouldn't stand. She threw herself backward and broke her halter. Karin grabbed another halter and this time I twitched her while Karin brought Valiant up. He got the job done no problem but I was afraid to take the twitch off until Valiant was moved away. Yesterday when Karin brought Valiant up she kicked him. Next to tease was Brista, the  Paso Fino. She is still not showing. Indy was brought out, teased and covered.
Her filly is content to stay with Roxanne and Roxanne's colt while Indy was taken out. She didn't even call. This filly is adorable. She has soft eyes that look at us sweetly. The picture below was taken at just a day old. I can't believe how much she grew while we were gone these 8 days.
Hopefully I can get some updated pictures of her for the website tomorrow after church. The last mare out to tease was Roxanne. She is also in season but both stallions were already used. We will wait until tomorrow then probably cover her with Valiant. Her colt by him this year is pretty amazing.
Her colt also filled out a lot, in the picture above he is just a few hours old. These foals change so quickly at this age. He is another one that needs updated pictures for the website.
The car was unpacked and then Rhoda and started searching for a hotel up in Rochester, MN for Wednesday night. I can't believe how long it took to find one close to Mayo's but we finally did. My first appointment is at 9:00 am Thursday morning and it is just too far of a drive to there by that time.
This evening Rhonda, Karin, mom and I played games at mom's house. Diane and Jenny came for a bit but didn't stay to play.
