We had an icy morning, so icy that Mark had to get out and start spreading sand or we would not have been able to get to church. Every driveway here was a sheet of ice. We had melting overnight but it would melt, run on top of the thick ice and freeze. He could not stand on the ice without sliding down the hill.
Mom and I made it to church on time but Mark stayed behind to get the rest of the driveways open so we would be able to get up the drives when we came home. Craig Stickling had the morning message on Roman's 8. Dave Obergfel had the afternoon message on Mark. If interested in hearing either one (both were SO thought provoking and dare I say convicting) click on AC Central by clicking HERE then type in Peoria at the search button up on the right hand corner. Hopefully they will be posted soon.
Karin was already here working with the horses when we got home. The second play practice started at 3:00 pm and everyone made it except Hannah but another took her place for the practice. Below are a few pictures.
I was a little late showing up for the beginner as I had to get the meat going for the meal and then had to leave before it finished to get the food over to Phil and Anna's house. They were hosting the family tonight for the superbowl. Anna had made all kinds of wonderful foods including her famous corn chowder and sliders. Everyone brought food and there was an abundance of good eats. Mark and I left around half time. We just can't get into football at our age.
