Mom and Joan didn't wait for protection from the rain but Miss Molly was fascinated by that big umbrella.
Sarah and Zion came over this morning. Sarah helped get the house cleaned and ready for us to leave tomorrow. The laundry was done so the packing could be done and when Mark got home we were just about ready to load the van. Tomorrow morning we will be pulling out around 6:45 am and just drive down to Jackson Mississippi, spending the night then driving down to Mobile port on Saturday morning. I'm not taking a computer and will most likely not have any internet starting Saturday afternoon once the ship leaves the Mobile area. I will be taking a week's vacation from the blog.
This afternoon the temperature starting dropping and the wind started blowing HARD. Right now it is 16 degrees with a real feel of -8. I went out to feed and didn't wear gloves by the time I got in my hands felt frozen. We are having sustained winds of 25 miles and hour with gusts hitting 50. At one point we could almost feel the house shake. There is sure a lot of creaking going on as these 150 year old boards are groaning to stay together. I brought a load of wood in and started the wood burner in the living room which is helping to keep the house comfortable. We will have an early night. I'm looking forward to sunshine and warmth and really looking forward to our budget gospel music cruise. We say budget as we have to make our own gospel music. SO if the ship sinks this is the last blog post but if all goes well the blog will be started back up on Friday Feb 15th.
