Winter arrived today, it was cold, windy, and damp but when we hear the extended forecast it seems fall will be arriving next week with highs again in the 50s. We can easily tolerate a few cold days when we know they won't last long. Each warm day we have had this December has been such a gift. Maybe winter won't seem so long this year.
Emily and I had a busy day. We started with Marika, using our new hot water heater her legs and tail got a good scrub down. Marika is now stalled until tomorrow when she travels to Bridlewood.
Next was to go over the Kiefer Built trailer with Tim Reinhard on what we want done. We talked him out of putting the cupboards back in, talked him into removing the counter top and 2 lower cupboards and putting up shelves and bridle hooks. This will make the trailer easy to set up and haul our big tubs full of supplies. Once we were all on the same page we drove down to Meisters and loaded up 3 boxes of copy paper, paid a couple bills then headed to the Berean office where we spent the next few hours entering the hundreds of request letters.
We stopped at Sam's Club on the way home to pick up a big roast for tomorrow's meal along with a few other items.
Mark came home early to grade the driveways one more time (maybe the last time in 2015) then had an early supper. Church tonight was at the Fellowship Hall for a special Christmas message. Mike Reiker had the service and the choir sang 3 songs. Tonight was another gift.
