We were contacted by the manager of Circle Double D ranch about bringing in a mare next week and they want Raven. This is another repeat, they have 2 other foals by him out of the same mare.
A clarification on Lily's filly now named Helen. The ophthalmologist could not tell if she is completely blind as she blinked with the right eye when he shown a bright flashlight into it but he was not very encouraging about it. There was just slight movement of her pupil during the light exam. He said to treat her as if she is blind by preparing a safe environment. We are praying about what to do with her and open to suggestions.
On the walk we had to stop to admire the beauty of the day. The first picture was taken on the dam looking over at mom's house.
The picture above is looking from the dam over to Rachel's house. The geese have taken over Daisy the duck's nest.
We have a very clear bright sunshiny day.
We were actually swamped at work today and really had to push it to finish in time for lunch. The box below tells the story. We didn't actually get done in time but the rest Eva Jean can finish at home. At least all the labels are printed and the studies are ready for processing.
There is bridge construction on the Shade Lowman bridge which is the bridge we take over to Denny's. On the way home we were at a complete stand still in bumper to bumper traffic stuck in the middle of the bridge. Each time a semi tractor trailer went by from the oncoming lane the bridge would shake. Eva Jean was sure we were going into the river and reminded us how she can't swim. We reassured her that the airbags going off would keep us afloat if the bridge did collapse. Somehow that didn't help.
