Horse Hospital

After the walk it was time to remove Star's stitches. After removing all but 5 I had to quit, he was just getting impatient and wouldn't stand still. The last 5 will have to be removed with a helper.

Across the hall to the filly's stall to work on her eye. We have to put the eye salve in her eye 4 times a day. The first time is before feeding the second time is after the walk. Steven does the other 2 times when he comes at night. She was also given her sulpha this morning. I tried to take a picture of her eye it is healing well but turned off the flash because of her eye so none of the pictures turned out.
By the time I was out of the barn the wind is blowing and it is spitting a cold 43 degree rain. The kids were having a ball, into the paddock for pictures was a must.
Below is Ayanna. I really need a better camera for action shots.

I never did get a decent shot of Aragon, Rachel makes taking pictures look so easy.

Caden was such a show off.

I took my jacket off and placed it on the ground. Caden is the brave curious one, he had to check it out first.

Then the other 2 got brave enough to check it out.

In the picture below, left to right is Aragon's face, Caden, Ayanna. They will be leaving for Middle Grove Saturday. They are all well handled, like people and friendly so time to head out to the herd.
