Below are a few pictures of the day:
Above Israel and the dogs are taking a break from working, below Israel is hard at work cleaning stalls.
Above Israel is taking a break in the castle and below he is busy training Galena for us.
Above and below is Rhoda working with Sheena's 8 day old colt by Valiant.
Sheena is now in her foal heat and Rhoda helped get her covered by Valiant. Her colt is such quality we bred her back the same way. Below Rhoda is working with Galena.
Eliza's colt was the next foal out. He is 5 days old in the picture. He was feeling very well today, a typical bouncing baby boy.
Rhoda turned Jenis, Galena, Bunni and Missy out into the pond pasture. The goose was off her nest and this was the first time we could tell there are only 3 eggs. Hope they are fertile for this pair, she has been working hard sitting on her second try.
Below are the 4 mares out grazing on the other side of the pond.
Rhoda made the dogs stay on this side of the fence, Israel didn't mind he joined them:
Jazz and Mara were both teased and now both out. Their owners were contacted. We tried Galena with Mara but it didn't work well. Mara who has been very lonely was too thrilled and wouldn't leave Galena alone. We were not at all worried about Galena but worried she may get irritated with Mara and kick her so they were separated. Below are a couple pictures of that try.
After Rhoda left I ran Israel to the shop to meet Stephanie, ran to Sams to pick up dog food, ran back to the barn to grab some electric fence posts for the pony rides scheduled at the Goose Ranch tomorrow then cleaned up quick so we could head in to Peoria to see Co-op musical at Dingledine. That was really good and the crowd LOVED it as did we. These high school students are very talented both in their acting and their singing. Below are a few pictures of our very entertaining fun evening.:
We made it home late and went to bed pretty quickly. What a fun filled long day!
