A couple nice updates arrived from owners of Raven's offspring. The first is a Raven son named Nevar. He was born after Raven died..did you catch the twist on his name? He looks like a fine young colt and looks like he is going to be huge.
The next 2 pictures are of a full brother and sister by Raven out of a mare named Jazz. The first is actually named Raven after his sire and his younger sister is named Pearl.
We picked up mom for church and arrived early, which is always a good thing to do when in Peoria. There are just so many people to talk to before the morning service. We had a special treat today. Leon and Eunice's son Rick was visiting from Chicago. Carlie and Debbie were serving lunch so Ryan and Jill came to help. We had 2 visiting ministers! Rick had the first service and Ryan had the second. After church we needed to move bales but first Mark needed to take the hay rack back over to Rachel and David's house then attach the log splitter on the back of the tractor for weight. The weanling paddock got our last alfalfa bale from last year. The rest of the hay is grass mix but good fine stemmed grass mixed with some alfalfa and clover. The horses like it and will do well this winter. The other bale was moved in Raven's old paddock which will be Roxanne and Rosaleigh's as soon as they finish the bale they have now in Killian's paddock. We could hear the volley ball players as we were moving bales so grabbed the left over candy and took the golf cart over to the playground. The sun was already setting. Hard to lose daylight so early.
Rebekah and Brian were here with their dog Regan. She is a goldendoodle puppy and needed to meet all the dogs around here. Below she is meeting Studly.
Emma wasn't too impressed with her and decided it was safer to stay with Mark.
We left early as I needed to clean up and change for Hymn sing. I picked up mom at 6:00 pm we drove in to the Fellowship Hall parking lot the very same time Ruth and Irma did. Too bad we could have driving together if we had just known. Hymn sing was another blessing. The 3 year old class and Pre Kindergarten class sang first then the Goodfield choir. It was good to be there! As we were leaving we walked out the very same time as Ruth and Irma. For sure we will call next time.
