Work In Progress

Phil dropped off Braelyn and Taegan just as Rhoda and I were eating our breakfast. Rhoda watched the girls while I drove to Pekin, IL for shopping. First stop was TSC where 5 bags of grain were picked up and in Pekin the TSC store is right next to Walmart and we were all out of conditioner so that was the second store. The last stop was Big R's for 4 bags of shredded beet pulp. Rhoda helped unload the car when I get back. She had Ayanna out and it was so cute, Ayanna was grazing in the yard, Braelyn would pick grass, hold it out to Ayanna and Ayanna would stop grazing and very gently take the grass out of Braelyn's hand. This happened over and over. Oh for the camera right then but that was back at the house. Rhoda gave both girls pony rides on her then took her on the new trails plus the death trails all by herself while I took the girls to the playground. Bethany was there with her cousins so when Rhoda came back from the trails the cousins all got to ride Ayanna then Rhoda taught them how to teach a horse to bow. That brought the camera's out. Their cameras that is.
When Emily arrived home from school the paddocks were perfect consistency for clearing, not too muddy. She moved Valiant into the outdoor arena and brought out the skid steer.
By the time she was done she had built a mountain in Valiant's paddock. We are leaving the manure there this year until we spread it on the fields instead of hauling it into the middle of the yard.
Hopefully the home owner's association will be happy with this decisions, they sure didn't like it last year when Mark left it in the middle of the circle drive. Emily is just like a kid, needing to climb to the top of the mountain!
She decided she had time to clean Evan's paddock next and just about that time Philip showed up to pick up the girls so I took the camera out with me. Evan was turned loose in the outdoor and did he ever have fun.

He is such a magnificent mover and so impressive that he is fun to watch. Later the mares were teased, Holly was still in and covered by Valiant. Prissy is just now coming in, we will see if she stands tomorrow. Andrew, Mike and Diane's son is repairing the damaged trailer we bought. He made great progress today.
He took all the aluminum off and was working on straightening and reinforcing the supports.
I'm tired today and am going to head to bed without doing today's dishes. The kitchen is a mess and I'm just going to close my eyes and pretend what I don't see won't bother me.
