Home Sweet Home

We had no internet at the condo in Gulf Shores yesterday and this morning. Yesterday was spent preparing to leave the condo by giving a deep cleaning and packing, although we still had our beach time. A storm arrived early in the morning but by 10:00am the sun was out in full force. We took a nice long walk on the beach marveling at the waves thundering up and down the shore line. After lunch back out we went to just sit watching the waves roll in one after another. Gail Hodel came down from her condo for a visit. We went to a new restaurant last night that came highly recommend called Rafters. We were not impressed, the food just wasn't that good and the kind of pricey. We had an early night heading to bed by 8:30pm then were up at 3:00pm to finish up with last minute cleaning and packing the car. We pulled out of Gulf Shores at 4:25am and even with getting stuck in traffic because of 2 accidents and then road construction around St. Louis still made it home by 6:30pm. The trip went well.
As soon as our luggage was in the house Mark helped load the popcorn machine, 50 pounds of popcorn, cotton candy machine and supplies into the car and off I drove to the Old School Center in Farmington, IL to set up for the Spoon River Drive. Karin is handling the horses for pony rides and I'll be handling the food.
An email came in from Jenni Moser with a video of her mare Airiah at the trainer .
