Jenis JJ's New Filly by RAVEN
What a beautiful surprise was waiting for me this morning at the farm. Last night Mike was called to see if he would put Jenis in the barn, storms were in the area and even though she wasn't due until the 19th, I didn't want to take a chance. The filly was up and nursing by the time I arrived. She is so strong, Mike could hardly hold her still for her iodine treatment.
Steven came out early this morning, helped me get some pictures of this strong little fighter, applied more iodine to the cord and then worked Wynne and the boys. The Friesian mare in for breeding is in season so Steven also helped with the cover.
The pictures below are of her. She is a purebred Friesian mare owned by Don and Pat Kummer. They should have a fantastic Friesian foal next year.
