Storms

We had a thunder storm this morning that dropped a half inch of rain and 1 bad lightning strike which took out our internet. I think the term is it fried our modem but the thing it fried may have been another piece of equipment.  David arrived just before the rain to help Mark and I  to put up the solar panels at Joan's house. David and Mark took shelter in her garage until the storm stopped.  By the time I got over there they were just putting up the first panel. Spark arrived and between the 4 of us they were all put up by 11:00 am.

Below David is finishing up tightening the last of the nuts and bolts.
Karin arrived and went to work training horses in the outdoor as it was still cool and cloudy from the storm. She got Jenis and Oksana done and was riding Sangria when I got there. I pulled weeds in the arena as she was finishing up with Sangria then we got the arena and round pen sprayed for weeds before coming in for lunch. When the sun came out it was hot and steamy feeling like high 90s again so the barn air was turned on and Roxanne and her filly stalled. This afternoon Mark worked on the finish mower. He took it apart, greased it well, put it back together and mowed. It works well. Mark left it on the tractor and put that in the barn just before another storm arrived and this one dropped an inch of rain so we ended up with an inch and a half for the day. That probably means all the weed spraying may not kill the weeds if the spray all washed off during this last storm.
