Above is Sally, Eli and Missy, below they are joined by Foxy, Hadassah and Cookie.
Below Diane and Mike are surrounded.
We were all pleased with Eli, Diane made the comment "even I who know nothing about horses could tell that's a fancy foal." Eli was strutting around looking gorgeous with his big impressive trot and thick mane, tail and feather flying in the wind. Diane was marveling that Sally produced such an impressive foal when Karin finally realized Diane thought Eli was Sally's natural born baby, not FOSTER baby. Eli's birth mom was Eliza, Sally just adopted him after Eliza died. We all had a good laugh at that. Diane was the hero today, we were having trouble loading, the other mares kept walking between the trailer and Eli. The rest of us had to keep the mares away while Diane led Sally into the trailer and Eli followed. If you would like to see the rest of the pictures of Eli and Sally click HERE. To see the rest of the Middle Grove pictures click HERE. We were in a hurry to make it back by 10:00 am to hook the big truck up to the big trailer for the scheduled trail ride at Jubilee State Park. They took 7 horses. Below are 4 of the horses. Easter Lilly, Galena, Oksana and Rosaleigh.
Below these 4 are getting ready to load but it didn't quite work out the way we planned.
Easter Lilly would not move over so she was unloaded and designated for the 2 horse trailer along with Sally. They ended up putting Indy, Oksana, Galena, Anna and Rosaleigh in the 4 horse trailer
It is such a big trailer that when the back tack is collapsed we can easily fit 5 mares and these are not small mares. What a great trailer. Below is Easter Lilly and Sally in the 2 horse.
Above and below they are loaded and pulling out.
The trail ride went great. Riders were Karin on Easter Lilly, Hanna on Galena, Rhoda on Rosaleigh, Lee her husband on Anna, Anni on Sally and Mitchel & Emily Cooksey riding Indy and Oksana. Below are a few pictures of the ride. This afternoon we had a lady and her husband drive all the way from Kansas City to see Easter Bonnet. They really liked her but are not ready to buy a horse until the end of February. I was pleased that Easter Bonnet was well behaved. They loved the stallions and were most impressed with Valiant. This evening were testimonies at church. There were three, Susan and Dan's son Abram, Marsha and Chris' son Caleb and Mike and Lisa's son Alex. It was really good to be there. The miracle of conversion is a story that never gets old.
When I got home tonight there was a really neat message from the lady that bought two Raven daughters from the man that owned the two mares bred to Raven. These mares were Gypsy Vanner mares, a mother and daughter that were brought here to be bred to Raven and both produced a filly. Well check out the 3 videos below. These two fillies grew up to be gorgeous mares that are now performing in front of thousands of people.
Above is the owner at liberty with her Raven daughter named Cadla and below is the owner on her Raven daughter named Dana.
Both of these mares are considered Gypsians Their sire was a Friesian (Raven) and their dam was a Gypsy Vanner. All I can say is WOW, Raven really did good!
