Easter Bonnet & Bethany

Right after the walk I needed to run to the bank to deposit the first of the month checks so the first of the month bills could be paid. A phone call came from the people wanting Dublin, Roxanne's colt by Valiant. Today they sent the deposit check. That colt will be marked sold as soon as the check arrives.
He will be going to Texas.  They will be very pleased with him. When I got back to the house Rhoda was here already working. She was busy cleaning the indoor arena but was glad to help when I told her we needed new pictures and videos of both Easter Bonnet and Bethany. We brought Easter Bonnet out first. She is such a delightful filly, she loves people and is very well behaved. She was taken to the outdoor arena where it was hard to get her to show off. She is just too laid back to want to run. Below is a short video of her taken today.

Below are a few of the pictures taken also today.

We also de-wormed her with a half of tube of Quest Plus. She has a current coggins, has had her first set of shots and is registered with Friesian Heritage Horse International papers are in-hand. She really is a complete package with the added bonus of being about to pay for herself with her very first foal and comes with a reduced stud fee to Evan at age 3. Next out was Bethany. She is suppose to be paid for and picked up on Sunday afternoon. Karin is willing to meet the buyers which are past customers of ours so I'm pretty sure this sale is going to happen. Bethany is out of a few spot Appaloosa mare by our Friesian stallion Evan. She inherited the Friesian movement from Evan but her unique blue roan coat from her Appaloosa mom.

She is another very friendly filly. She carries her tail when running like an Arabian, curled up over her back. Below is a short video of her movement.
Once these two fillies were put away Easter Lilly was brought out, teased and covered by Valiant. She was then put in the short shelter and Galena brought out and teased. We were glad when Galena did not show. She is suppose to be pregnant, looks pregnant but with these huge draft mares, it is hard to actually tell. Rhoda took her into a stall brushed out her tail and braided up her mane.
When Karin finally arrived after work today, she pulled the 4 wheeler out and graded the outdoor arena. I don't think she had time to work any horses, it is getting dark pretty quickly any more and after Saturday will be dark before 5:00 pm.
After supper Diane, Ruth, Rhonda, Joan, Karin, Mom and I played games at mom's house. We sure have fun playing and visiting together. Thankful for a large fun loving family.
