Sangria surprised us early this morning, delivering a filly out in the paddock. Emily discovered the filly at 5:00 am and she was already up and nursing. This filly may gray as she is a little lighter than last years bay colt.
She is a big strong stocky filly. We know that after putting them in the stall, it took both Emily and I to get this filly to walk into the barn. Her cord has been iodined and the placenta has been delivered. Rejoice with us, all is WELL! These are the best kind of deliveries, no lost sleep and a healthy strong foal.
