Choir Lunch

One of the items purchased at Sams was a big tray of rich chocolate fudge brownies. Both girls are not happy having something so decadent in the house, when Rhoda arrives home from work she exclaims, "mom, you know we can't resist this WHY did you buy it?" AGAIN I had to explain, we were suppose to serve lunch at choir, it wasn't suppose to be here! Mark will take it down to the shop this morning but then HE says, "Oh great, that's not good for us down there either!" Now the brownies were the only sweet purchased, other items bought that ARE good for us were fresh blueberries, red sweet seedless grapes, and the ingredients to make the ever popular build your own taco. $81.00 was spent at Sams and another $34.00 at Aldi for this lunch and choir ends up canceled!
Then an email comes through from Carol Klopfenstein with the lunch list on it showing empty spots, wanting people to fill them and I cringe. Kind of a pride thing, there is everyone's name on a slot but on last night's slot where it would have said our name it just says CANCELED! The next available opening is Feb 1st and we will be getting ready to leave on the cruise.
It was kind of nice not having to be the last out after cleaning up the fellowship hall and really nice going to Riverplex, walking a mile and watching the boy's team play their first 2 games of this session. They have new girl players this year as Anna is now too pregnant and it was Nate's turn to play instead of his wife Brook.
The walk this morning will be skipped by me, the roads are still snow covered and the time it would take to get there is probably not worth the trip. It's COLD outside! The older we get the longer winter seems.
One funny thing that happened yesterday was a lady emailing about different horses and at the bottom she writes:
ps- SO YOU KNOW WHAT SOLD ME TO YOUR FARM, IT WAS THE VIDEOS OF EVERYTHING YOU DO WITH YOUR HORSES, LIKE SWIMMING, I ALSO DO THAT, HAVE FOR YEARS.....OH THAT AND THE LEADING THEM WITH THE BACKHOE, I LOVE HOW THE SOCIALIZATION/DESENSITIZATION IS DONE-
