There are SOME blessings today. Emily, her brother Justin, Diane, mom and I met at the dumpster for the walk and only got up to the barn before the rain started in earnest causing us to cut the walk short, real short. We made it back to the dumpster to pick up the golf cart and had to drive it back sitting on a very wet seat and getting soaked by the time we got back to the barn. At least it wasn't snow. We were having our high of the day right then. By the time the rain stopped the cold came. When Emily came to help me get Sissy covered the temps had fallen into the 30 s and by the time we were ready to quit working outside our fingers were frozen.
Sissy and Dancing Ember, her filly, were stalled, it is just so miserable outside. Emily worked with Dancing Ember putting her halter on and picking up her hooves.
Emily used the last of the wood to build a fire in the apartment warming that up nicely. I drove in to Kroger with the car heater on high to warm up. We needed milk and that was a good excuse to get warm.
Karin called to update me on the horses at Middle Grove. She spent the afternoon out there yesterday training and was very pleased with the progress of some of those mares after sitting most of the winter. Looking forward to tomorrow, it is suppose to be sunny and into the 50's.
We had a real blessing today at church getting to witness Kathy's testimony and baptism.
Afterwards Mark took us out to Taco Bell.
