Great Saturday

We heard some quiet little voices at the kitchen door this morning at 6:00 am. Zion, Eden and River came each with a beautiful craft to do from Grandma Amanda. They needed to do this here as we have an oven. They went right to work. Each of these sun catchers had tiny little plastic pellets that would melt once placed in the proper place.

Above is River's and below are Zion and Eden's.
Below we are getting ready to put them in the oven which was preheated to 375.
Then it was time to make breakfast. River wanted pancakes but I didn't have any pancake batter so instead she had oatmeal while the other 2 had scrambled eggs and sausage. Sarah picked them up as they were finishing up breakfast. They went to work at their new house and Israel joined them. He was helping to get the floors ready for the new flooring.

I left for Sam's club then once done there Aldi to pick up the food for tomorrow's meal. Once the groceries were unloaded it was time to move bales. The middle paddock needed a bale and so did Valiant.  Missy and the weanlings needed to be locked in the pond pasture while the bales were moved as I was doing this myself. The bucket needed to be taken off the skid steer and the bale fork put on before that job could be done. Once the bales were in the horses were called back in.  Dahlia came with some decoration.
I think she wanted a star like Roseberry has.
They were glad for the new hay. Not long after they were all in that shelter chowing away.
The bucket was put back on the skid steer then I went down to get Mark so we could put the campers in the barn for the winter. He wanted to find a way to use the front hitch. Last year we tried to use this and it kept sliding and falling off. He was going to drill holes through the bucket but I thought the chains would work better.
He had the perfect tool for the chain and had never used it but when he finally figured it out it worked perfectly.
This way I could push the camper in instead of backing it in. Below we have two inside.
After less than 15 minutes the 3rd was safely inside.
Sarah arrived home with the girls as I was moving the last one in.
There are 2 at the back of the barn and 2 more in front of the first two and we still have room to easily get bales out. The girls and I drove the golf cart around the back of the barn to check out how close they are to the back door of the barn.
I'm always glad once that job is done and next year wont dread it as much now that we have a good system. We drove over to the barn so the girls could help me empty the garbage. Last night Joan hosted the cast party. It didn't start until around 10:30 am and lasted all night. Well at least some of the cast spent the night. They had cleaned the barn up but we still needed to get the garbage in the dumpster.
While upstairs the girls needed to try the bunk beds out.
They had to climb to the top to see if they could reach the ceiling.

They also tried out the bench. We decided we could easily fit Iris and Elisabet on that bench too.
We took the garbage to the dumpster and when we went to throw it in found a TREASURE!
It was loaded on the golf cart and our first stop was mom's house. The garland would work perfectly on her deck.
Mom and Ruth were out on the deck enjoying the sunshine. Mom had just had her hair washed and was drying it. Ruth helped the girls put on the garland.
It was so nice that when the job was done we sat down to enjoy the view.
We were really excited about the other find and took it to the apartment. This tree came in 3 sections, one for each girl and each girl was glad to help put it together. (I was glad we found all 3 sections in the dumpster)
We used a red leadrope to tie it to the post.
Next we drove over to the barn to get some lights and ornaments.
Once we thought it was pretty we went down to the house. They helped me make some of the food for tomorrow's dinner then worked on crafts.
They did not tell their mom what they had done and could hardly wait to surprise her. We found a couple gifts to put under the tree.
Below is the video of them decorating then driving up in the dark to see how beautiful it looked in the dark.

They were SO excited to show their parents. What a great Saturday.
