Up at 4:30 am to get everything done before pulling out this morning at 7:30. We loaded during a drizzle, set up while it was drizzling and gave pony rides during the drizzle. When the rain came pouring down ponchos were put on the horses and we waited out the down pour in Karin's car. Thankfully that was the last of the rain today. The sun came out pouring out heat. We went from sweatshirts and ponchos to wishing we had worn shorts. All in all we had a very successful day, making $180.00 for the vaulters. We had a lot of adults ride today.

The vaulters were amazing, Willow brought her money box and managed the store, collecting the $2.00 for the pony rides, $1.00 for cotton candy and pop corn along with leading the horses. She, along with Shaeya, Mae, Takoa, Noah, Wren, Drake were all great help. With all this good help Karin and I just helped the riders on and took pictures.
We closed up shop at 4:00 pm and headed home in traffic, lots of traffic. Amazing how many people come out for this Spoon River Drive.
As soon as I got home and unloaded Bunni and Cookie supper was cooked and eaten. After supper Sangria was teased and covered by Valiant and all the horses grained. Mark got a lot of work done here spreading gravel on the driveway, putting down fabric under the solar system then shoveling gravel on top of the fabric and splitting wood. He saw no one, this place is desolate, just about everyone is down in Gulf Shores or working with at the Spoon River Drive. This evening the pictures were uploaded from the drive and posted on facebook and now we are heading to bed.
